Renovation and improvement works on an urban avenue.

Borriana City Council has launched the tender to execute the third and final phase of renovation works on Juan Bautista San Martín avenue, aiming to unify the urban image and improve mobility.

This intervention, promoted by the Urban Planning department, focuses on renewing road infrastructure to ensure greater safety and adapt the environment to accessibility criteria. The work includes complete resurfacing of the road and replacing deteriorated pavement on sidewalks.
The project includes the removal of architectural barriers through the construction of adapted ramps and accessible pedestrian crossings. Additionally, a new bike lane will be enabled along the entire avenue, and new parking spaces for vehicles will be created, seeking to revitalize a key area for commercial activity and residents.
According to the council, this action completes a renovation process in an area that had not received significant improvements in the last 35 years. The two previous phases, already completed, allowed for the remodeling of the sections between San Blas Square and El Calvari Street, including the planting of new trees.

"We are going to transform the avenue by the river into a modern, safe, and fully accessible space that improves the daily lives of our neighbors and boosts commercial activity in the area."
