The city of Xàtiva is on alert due to the arrival of a warm air mass that will push thermometers above 40 degrees starting next Monday.

The State Meteorological Agency has issued a warning regarding an episode of very high temperatures that will intensify over the weekend. According to forecasts, the daily average between June 22 and June 26 could set historical records in the region.
The municipality of Xàtiva is expected to be one of the most affected areas, with a maximum of 41 degrees forecast for Tuesday, June 23. This extreme heat situation will extend to other parts of the pre-coastal area, where values will also be high.
The Emergency Coordination Center of the Generalitat Valenciana has activated prevention protocols. Authorities reiterate the importance of constant hydration, avoiding sun exposure during the central hours of the day, and paying special attention to vulnerable groups.
Furthermore, the risk of forest fires increases exponentially due to high temperatures and low humidity. For this reason, all types of fire are prohibited on forest land while the heat episode lasts, which is expected to remain stable at least until Friday.
