“"The objective is to finally complete a road that had been cut off for years and is fundamental for the maritime area to be well connected. With these sections, an axis will be completed that will allow travel from La Serratella to Grao without necessarily having to pass through the first line of the beach, saving time for residents and avoiding the traffic jams that currently form during high season."

The Burriana City Council has put out to tender the works to execute the last sections of Cañada Blanch Avenue, an action with a budget of 1,462,772.12 euros to complete a key infrastructure in the coastal area.
This intervention aims to complete this road to close the outer communication ring in the maritime area and directly link the Burriana to Grao road (CV-1860) with Jaime Chicharro Avenue (CV-18). With this, the council seeks to improve mobility between Grao and the Port, offering an alternative to Mediterránea Avenue to alleviate traffic during peak seasons.
The project foresees the execution of two sections totaling approximately 500 meters. The first will run from the intersection with the Port road to Rosa dels Vents street, while the second will connect Bruixola and Manuel Ferrer Granell streets. The works will have a maximum execution period of eight months and will include the comprehensive urbanization of the surroundings, with paving, sidewalks, basic services, and a new drainage network prepared to respond effectively to rain episodes.
The new avenue will incorporate a bidirectional bike lane along its entire length, in line with the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (PMUS). This cycling route will be up to 2.5 meters wide and will feature protective strips to enhance safety against road traffic. Furthermore, the design considers landscape criteria to integrate into the agricultural transition environment, including new roundabouts and landscaped areas with native species such as olive trees, palm trees, and aromatic plants.
In addition to road improvements, the project also incorporates a strategic technical action with the execution of a section of the general collector. This infrastructure will allow future connection of this area with the new wastewater treatment plant projected in Camí Llombai, thus reinforcing the municipality's sanitation and sewerage network. Interested companies can submit their offers until next May 7.
