The intervention seeks to complete this road and close the outer communication ring in the maritime zone, connecting the Burriana to Grao road (CV-1860) with Jaime Chicharro Avenue (CV-18). With this, the council aims to improve mobility between Grao and the Port and offer an alternative to Mediterránea Avenue, especially during periods of high traffic.
The works include the execution of two sections totaling nearly 500 meters. The first runs between the Port road and Rosa dels Vents street, while the second will link Bruixola and Manuel Ferrer Granell streets. The maximum execution period will be eight months and will include the comprehensive urbanization of the surroundings, with paving, sidewalks, basic services, and a new drainage network prepared for intense rainfall episodes.
The project incorporates sustainable mobility criteria, with the creation of a bidirectional bike lane along the entire route, with a width of up to 2.5 meters and protection measures to ensure user safety. In addition, the design includes landscape integration through new roundabouts and landscaped areas with native species such as olive trees, palm trees, and aromatic plants.
The action also includes the execution of a section of the general collector, a key infrastructure that will allow this area to connect in the future with the new wastewater treatment plant planned for Camí Llombai, thus reinforcing the municipality's sanitation network.
“"This project will allow us to finally complete a road that had been cut off for years and is important for improving connectivity in the maritime area."
According to the councilor, the completion of these sections will facilitate more agile travel between Serratella and Grao, avoiding passing through the first line of the beach and reducing traffic jams during high season.
