This decision, made in an extraordinary session, validates the proposal from the Mayor's Office. The update seeks to adapt the municipal structure to current competencies and challenges, with the goal of improving efficiency and transparency in the provision of public services to the citizens of Burriana.
The reform includes the amortization of positions deemed no longer necessary in areas such as Rural Guard, Public Roads, Internal Services, and Tourism. Concurrently, new technical and operational positions are being created, including technical engineers in IT and industrial fields, as well as tourist information officers, auxiliary staff, and multi-service officers.
Furthermore, the necessary economic provision is guaranteed to support the horizontal professional career of municipal employees, ensuring credits for salary increases derived from professional progression. This measure will allow for qualified and specialized personnel, while also recognizing and remunerating the performance of workers.
“"This approval allows us to continue modernizing and adapting our administration to the needs of the city's residents. The update of the staff roster and the RPT will result in more agile and efficient public services."
As part of this reorganization, the council has announced the selection of 51 civil servant positions during 2025, including public employment offers from 2021 to 2024. This figure represents a record in covering vacancies across various municipal departments in Burriana.
