School admissions for the 2026-2027 academic year have placed CEIP Carles Salvador, Centro Privado Escuelas Pías, and CEIP Isidoro Andrés Villarroya as the most in-demand schools in Castellón province relative to available places. CEIP Carles Salvador is also among the top ten centers with the highest number of applications in proportion to offers within the entire Valencian Community.
In Castellón province, 94.66% of 3-year-old students have secured a place in one of the top four schools requested by families. This percentage reflects a high correspondence between family preferences and assigned places, although it falls slightly below the figures from Alicante and Valencia.
Next academic year, a total of 3,052 children will begin their schooling in 1st grade of early childhood education in the province. Added to this figure are 1,279 students progressing automatically from 2-year-old classrooms to 3-year-old classes. Across the Valencian Community, 27,781 students will start their schooling in 1st grade of early childhood education, plus another 6,104 children moving from 2-year-old to 3-year-old units.
The final lists also open the enrollment phase. Families can complete the process online between June 18th and 29th. Those opting for in-person enrollment have until July 2nd. Should families disagree with the final allocation, they can file an administrative appeal with the competent territorial directorate within one month of the final lists' publication.
