The appointment ceremony, held at the Francesc Tárrega Theater, has confirmed the new figures who will lead the festive events. Lucía Pallarés Hernández will hold the position of senior queen, accompanied by her court consisting of Nayara Rodríguez Gallego, Claudia Adell Barrachina, and Balma Escoín Almenar. For her part, Aina Escuder Borrego will assume the role of child queen, along with a large group of festival participants.
The mayor, Susana Marqués, has expressed her congratulations to the new representatives and acknowledged the work of the outgoing queens and festival participants. Marqués highlighted the importance of the festivals as a moment of unity for the town, emphasizing the fundamental role of families, the festival committee, and the Department of Festivals in the organization.
The official proclamation of the new queens and their courts will take place on September 18, coinciding with the start of the celebrations in honor of Santo Tomás de Villanueva. Subsequently, they will also participate in the festivities of January 2027 dedicated to San Antonio Abad and Santa Águeda.
The Councilor for Festivals, Elena Llobell, has positively assessed this year's participation, noting that Benicàssim has broken the record for festival participants. According to Llobell, this figure reflects "the commitment of the entire town to our traditions".
