Numerous families attended the opening of this new leisure zone, located opposite the municipal swimming pool. The inauguration of the facilities was marked by a festive day with entertainment and surprises.
The mayor of Almassora, María Tormo, accompanied by members of the municipal corporation, participated in the launch of this space, conceived as a refreshing, safe, and accessible leisure alternative for all ages.
“Today we take another step in our commitment to create quality public spaces for the families of Almassora. This park was one of the most anticipated projects, and we are very satisfied to be able to open its doors so that children and adults can enjoy it throughout the summer,” the mayor stated.
The new facility features various water play elements, distributed among elevated structures and ground-level games, adapted to different age groups and designed to foster fun and interaction.
Furthermore, the park has a modern automatic water purification and recirculation system, ensuring the highest standards of safety and hygiene, while also incorporating sustainability and efficiency criteria in water and energy resource usage.
Tormo highlighted that this initiative is part of the municipal strategy to improve and create new leisure spaces for children and families. “We continue to transform Almassora with projects that improve the quality of life for our residents and make our municipality an increasingly friendly, modern, and people-centered place,” affirmed the mayor.
The water play park will remain open until next September, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, becoming a new meeting point for families during the summer season. The construction of this infrastructure involved an investment of approximately 180,000 euros, included in the municipal investment plan.
