The Ministry of Health has awarded the architecture and engineering service for the drafting and construction management of the new health center in Meliana for over 256,000 euros. This step is crucial for advancing the launch of this new healthcare facility, which is integrated into the València Clínic-Malvarrosa health department.
The established execution period for the project drafting is nine months. Once approved, the tender process for the construction works will be initiated, with an estimated execution time of 24 months.
The new health center will be built on a plot of over 1,100 square meters, ceded by the City Council, located on Garrigosa street. The built area will exceed 2,000 square meters, thus increasing the healthcare capacity compared to the current center.
With an investment of over 4.8 million euros, the Ministry of Health aims to create a modern infrastructure with a comprehensive range of services and technological equipment. This improvement will address the healthcare needs of the population, which has grown in recent times, benefiting the more than 11,000 citizens assigned to this center.
The center will feature a Reception Area, seven Family Medicine Area consultation rooms, two Pediatrics consultation rooms, an Extraction and Treatment Room, a Women's Health and Midwifery Area, Social Work services, an Administrative Area, and Rehabilitation facilities.
The Ministry is making a significant investment effort to enhance Primary Care by incorporating organizational improvements and technological equipment such as ultrasound and retinography devices, which increase professionals' diagnostic capacity.
