The socialist party believes that the refusal to provide this documentation prevents democratic oversight of a case that, in their opinion, raises doubts about transparency in obtaining the civil servant position and its evolution within the local administration.
This complaint is part of previous criticisms by the PSPV-PSOE regarding the worker's transfer to the Diputación de València through a service commission processed due to “urgent necessity”. The socialists argue that this procedure has not been sufficiently justified and would have also entailed a salary increase exceeding 52,000 euros annually, practically double her previous income in the local administration.
“"What we are seeing is a deliberate attempt to hide information from the public. When there are suspicions of cronyism and the use of institutions to benefit people close to power, the minimum requirement is total transparency, not to erect administrative walls to prevent democratic control."
The socialist leader, Mayte García, has also warned that the Partido Popular is treating the administration as if it were a “private estate” and has demanded the immediate delivery of all requested documentation. She emphasized that the party will maintain political pressure until the processing of this case is known in detail.
With this complaint, the PSPV-PSOE once again focuses on personnel management linked to administrations governed by the PP and on the need, they argue, to strengthen transparency when there are suspicions of preferential treatment or the use of public resources to benefit people close to power.
