The city of Benidorm is set to become the international capital of poetry with the celebration of the VII International Poetry Festival “Benidorm and Costa Blanca” (FIPBECO 2026), taking place on April 16 and 17 at the municipal center El Torrejó.

This event, organized by the Liceo Poético de Benidorm with the collaboration of the City Council, will bring together twenty poets of different nationalities. The recital sessions will begin at 6:00 PM on the fifth floor of the municipal building.
The festival, directed by Annabel Villar and Julio Pavanetti, combines poetic word with live music. Musicians Eduardo Castro and Carlos E. Muñoz Clavijo will accompany the authors' interventions, adding an artistic component to the sessions.
A total of 20 poets from various countries will present their works in an open and diverse format, consolidating this festival as an international meeting point for contemporary literary creation. Participants include Alicja Kuberska, Alina Galas, Ángel Rebollar, Beatriz G. Ramírez, Cézar Viziniuk, Francisco Domínguez, Francisco Illán, Gabriel Chávez, Gloria Lafuente, Ángela Alonso, Guillermo del Pino, Janine Troutman, Joaquín Juan Penalva, José Antonio Ávila, José Martínez, Krzystof Galas, Manuela Martínez, Nieves Viesca, Pilar de Juan, and Yovanny Ferrer.
Now in its seventh edition, the festival has established itself as a prominent cultural event in Benidorm's calendar, promoting artistic exchange and the dissemination of poetry as a universal form of expression. The organization has highlighted the open and multicultural nature of the event, which seeks to bring poetry closer to the public and foster dialogue among creators of different countries and literary styles.
With this new edition, FIPBECO reaffirms its vocation as an international gathering and its role as a platform for the dissemination of contemporary poetry on the Costa Blanca.
