Actua, Servicios y Medio Ambiente SL has been selected to continue with the maintenance of roundabouts, pumping stations, pipes, reservoirs, the irrigation water lagoon, and the hydrant network within the scope of the Special Plan for Uses and Infrastructures (PEDUI) of the 'Benidorm-Finestrat Theme Park Area'. This award comes after the company previously provided this service, both independently and in collaboration with another firm.
The previous contract ended on March 31, and the new tender, which began on February 19, only received an offer from the winning company. The initial tender budget was 507,292.44 euros (including VAT), but the final agreement sets an amount of 467,723.64 euros for one year of execution, with the possibility of an extension for an additional year.
The agreement, signed on April 20, includes the company's commitment to implement an emissions measurement and verification system that complies with recognized international standards, such as UNE-EN ISO 14064 or an equivalent. The contractor will be responsible for maintaining the facilities in good condition and repairing damages caused by improper use, vandalism, normal operation, or work carried out in the vicinity.
The SPTD has chosen to contract an external company because it believes that its internal staff, which consists of seven people assigned to other departments, does not have the necessary specialization or training for this type of infrastructure maintenance. The new contract also provides for the subrogation of the current workforce responsible for these tasks, which includes a qualified technician and seven operators.
The main objective of this contract is to ensure comprehensive maintenance that includes conductive, preventive, technical-legal, corrective, predictive, and modificative aspects. This guarantees the conservation of roundabouts and their accesses, architectural features, pipes, pumping stations, reservoirs, the irrigation water lagoon, and the entire hydrant network.
