Scheduled Power Outages by Iberdrola to Affect Several Alicante Municipalities This Week

Iberdrola has announced scheduled power outages for this week in several municipalities in the province of Alicante, including Calpe, Onil, Orihuela Costa, Denia, and Javea, due to maintenance and improvement works on the grid.

The electricity company Iberdrola has reported a series of scheduled power cuts that will affect various localities in the province of Alicante throughout this week. These interruptions, which will last for more than an hour, are being carried out to perform maintenance and improvement work on the electrical grid.
One of the longest outages is expected in Calpe, where on April 21, between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM, a wide area including districts such as Cuxarret and Gran Sol, as well as urbanizations like Carrió Alto, will be without service. In Onil, the interruption is scheduled for April 21 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, affecting the industrial estate, specifically the Po Industrial de Onil (Apd-7) area.
In Orihuela Costa, cuts will occur over several days. On April 21, there will be interruptions from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM in streets such as Diego Velázquez and Nicolás de Bussi, and in urbanizations like Miraflores II or Perla del Mar. On the same day, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, work will continue in roads like Antonio Tàpies and Luis Gordillo, as well as in residential areas like Serena II. On April 22, cuts will be repeated in morning and midday slots in streets such as Aries, Géminis, Libra, or Virgo, in addition to commercial areas.
The city of Alicante will also experience several longer interruptions. On April 21, from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM, it will affect streets such as Asilo and Pardo Gimeno, while on April 23, it will extend from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM in avenues such as Oviedo or San Sebastián and on Francia street.
Other municipalities in the province with cuts exceeding one hour include Denia, with an interruption on April 20 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM in areas such as Vía Láctea, Sagitario, or Barranc del Monyo. In Javea, Ausiàs March avenue will be affected on April 23 between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM. Localities such as Aspe (April 22, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM), Busot (April 20, from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM), Benitatxell (April 24, from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM), and Petrer (April 24, from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM) also have planned cuts for maintenance work.
