The Pedreguer City Council today revealed the winning poster for the 2026 July Festivals, a work by Vicente Costa Llorens that blends music and bullfighting imagery.
The town of Pedreguer unveiled yesterday, May 26th, the design that will represent the upcoming July Festivals in 2026. The contest, promoted by the Fiestas Department, was marked by high participation and artistic quality among the submissions.
The prize, amounting to 350 euros, was awarded to the artwork titled “Fent Banda per Bou”, by Vicente Costa Llorens. The cheque presentation was attended by the mayor, Sergi Ferrús, the Fiestas councillor, Bernat Tomàs, and the jury president, Pasqual Costa.
The Fiestas councillor, Bernat Tomàs, congratulated the contestants for their creativity, which helps to give identity to the local festivals.
The author, Vicente Costa Llorens, explained that the design represents "the soul and devotion of the people of Pedreguer for bulls and music". The digitally created artwork uses musical instruments to visually form the figure of a bull, integrating symbolic references to the festivals and to San Buenaventura. The title plays on the double meaning of 'banda', linking festive music with the bullfighting imagery.
A total of twelve works were submitted to this contest, and the selected poster will be the official image for the Pedreguer 2026 July Festivals.
