The María Hervás square in Dénia will host the II 'Land and Sea' Agriculture and Fishing Fair on June 6th, an event organized by the Dénia del Pensament Foundation and the Dénia City Council.

This second edition of the fair, part of the Dénia City of Thought initiative, reinforces its commitment to the environment and will offer a day filled with educational activities and workshops for all ages. The fair will be open from 10 AM to 2 PM and from 4 PM to 9:30 PM.
Attendees will find a variety of stands dedicated to sustainable agriculture, agricultural services, ship model exhibitions thanks to the collaboration of the Museu Arqueològic de la Ciutat de Dénia, floral and garden decoration, as well as traditional products from the Marina region like breads and 'cocas'. Local beekeepers and producers offering organic products will also be present.
Among the highlighted activities are guided tours of the port, organized by the Marine and Fishing Environmental Service of the Dénia City Council along with the Pòsit (Fishermen's Guild), with limited spaces. These tours will take place at 10:45 AM and 5:00 PM, departing 15 minutes earlier from the Pòsit stand towards the port. Pre-registration is required via email at deniaviva@ayto-denia.es.
The public can also participate in various workshops throughout the day, such as making air fresheners, scented salts, an introduction to agriculture in a didactic way, and how to prepare the dough for traditional 'cocas' from the Marina. A water tasting session by Aqualia is also scheduled.
Entities such as the Institute of Coastal Ecology and Marine Lab, dedicated to the study and conservation of the marine environment, will also have a presence at the stands.
The Councilor for the Environment, Sandra Gertrúdix, emphasized that the fair aims to “open up an initiative for citizens to enjoy, learn, and support a more sustainable development model that is respectful of the environment,” expressing hope that this second edition will consolidate the fair as a meeting space for tradition, sustainability, and environmental education.
