The organization has announced that renowned Italian artist Veronica Fabrozzo will lead this year's large collective mural, a key attraction of an event established as a national and international benchmark for contemporary ceramic muralism. Furthermore, all available spots for participation have been filled weeks before the event, demonstrating the growing interest in this artistic gathering.
Onda's Councillor for Culture, Daniel Álvaro, highlighted that the Ceramic Gatherings “represent one of Onda's most unique and recognized cultural proposals, capable of attracting talent, creativity, and visitors around our ceramic tradition.” He added that “reaching the tenth edition with all spots filled demonstrates the prestige and consolidation of this project”.
Veronica Fabrozzo, founder of the Ars Melusina project, is known for her work in ceramic experimentation and mural art. During the gatherings, she will lead the creative process of a collective mural, adhering to the event's collaborative spirit. The resulting mural will become part of the artistic heritage linked to Onda's Ceramic Gatherings.
Italy's participation as the guest country will further enhance the event's international dimension. Prominent Italian specialists, such as Dr. Vittoria Nassi (curator of the Montelupo Ceramics Museum) and Dr. Marina Vignozzi (curator of the Bitossi Archive), will give talks on Italian ceramic tradition and key figures like Aldo Londi and Ettore Sottsass.
The program will include experimental workshops, technical demonstrations, PechaKucha sessions, cultural activities, live firings, and new experiences linked to the ON FIRE space and the established Ceramic Mascletà.
