The inauguration of the «Joves Pro» floor at Ondara's Espai Jove took place on Thursday, April 16. This new space has been conceived and remodeled with the active participation of the youth correspondent group Joves Pro, composed of teenagers from 1st to 4th year of ESO in the municipality. The event included a small snack to celebrate the opening of this place designed for youth.

The initiative stems from a real participation process, where the young people themselves were the protagonists in deciding the distribution, furniture, and elements to incorporate. After several working sessions, a comprehensive renovation of the first floor of the Espai Jove has been carried out, with an investment exceeding 25,000 euros. This funding comes from remnants of previous editions of Ondara's Municipal Participatory Budgets, which have now been reused to promote youth proposals within the municipal budget.

According to the Youth Technician, Pedro Gil, and the Youth Dynamizer, Neus Puigcerver, the renovation addresses the need to modernize a space that, since its opening, had basic materials that had become obsolete over time. The new floor incorporates differentiated areas: a relaxation zone with beanbags, an audiovisual zone with a television, a games zone, a work and study zone, and an area for creating social media videos. Room dividers have also been installed to define and give each corner its own identity.

The renovation also included a comprehensive acoustic improvement, with the installation of sound-absorbing panels that reduce reverberation and enhance the sound quality of the floor, making it more comfortable for conversation and group activities. Additionally, a room on the ground floor, previously a storage room, has been converted into a meeting and gathering space for older youth.
