The Councilor for Culture, Mavi Pérez, highlighted during the presentation that this festival “marks the arrival of good weather and a fantastic weekend full of music and good atmosphere.” Pérez emphasized the Culture department's effort to continue promoting this event, which “year after year has grown and improved to become established within Xàbia's musical program.”
The festival, organized by the Xàblues association, will feature a program composed entirely of national bands, many with significant international projection in the European blues and rock circuit. José Ramón Hernández and Guillermo Cardona, members of the organization, detailed a lineup that includes highly recognized artists such as Mingo Balaguer, considered one of the most outstanding Spanish blues musicians in Europe, and Martín Burguez, an artist with an international career based in Paris and currently touring the continent.
The festival will also feature Coco Jean, known for her career in European soul, along with a varied selection of bands from different parts of the country such as Madrid, Granada, the Basque Country, and the Valencian Community. Notable acts include groups like The Ubangi Stomp (Ibi), Epi y Blues (Riba-roja), and The Pickin’ Boppers (València).
As a novelty, this edition will include a parallel educational activity: a musical talk-colloquium to be held on Friday morning at the Casa de Cultura. Musical journalist JSL León will participate, along with several artists from the lineup. The activity is primarily aimed at high school students but will be open to the interested public.
The musical program will run from Thursday afternoon to Sunday midday, with concerts spread across different time slots to facilitate attendance for all audiences. Additionally, the venue will offer bar service and gastronomic options. The organization has invited residents and visitors to enjoy a full weekend in Arenal, emphasizing that the festival is designed to provide “a continuous musical experience by the sea.”
