The Federation of Services to Citizens of CCOO (FSC-CCOO) has described the first national strike at Glovo, held on April 24, 25, and 26, as a "great success," with an almost complete paralysis of service in Dénia.

The union highlighted the significant impact of the strike in about thirty Spanish cities, including the capital of Marina Alta. Despite complaints about the alleged violation of the right to strike through the replacement of striking workers, CCOO asserts that the impact was notable.

"This fact has not managed to stop the impact of a strike that has succeeded in halting deliveries through this digital platform in different areas."

The paralysis of deliveries has been recorded in "entire areas," including Dénia, Sagunto, Cullera, Sant Vicent del Raspeig, Torrevieja, and Benidorm, among many other locations. For the union, the strike has been not only a labor success but also a social one, thanks to media awareness and consumer solidarity, which caused demand to fall in many delivery areas.
Following the strike, CCOO has urged Glovo to unblock the conflict, which it attributes to "conditions of precariousness, exploitation, and repression." The union has reiterated its request for the withdrawal of the ERE that would affect 766 people, the recognition of a previous hidden ERE, the negotiation of an adapted disciplinary regime and a collective agreement for 2026, as well as an end to union persecution.
The representation of FSC-CCOO within the company expects the opening of a negotiation table to address all these points and establish normal labor relations at Glovo.
