The teaching collective in Dénia has decided to make their demands and commitment to students visible. As part of the ongoing educational strike, now in its third week, second-year baccalaureate teachers from IES Historiador Chabàs will hold a special session to resolve doubts regarding the University Entrance Exam (PAU).
This educational session, themed «Repàs i resolució» (Review and Resolution) and «Junts preparamos tu futuro» (Together We Prepare Your Future), will take place tomorrow, Friday, May 29th, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Uniquely, it will not be held in a classroom but in Plaça de la Constitució, in front of Dénia's Town Hall.
This location is significant, as the square has been the site of the most crowded protests in the Marina Alta region during the current educational conflict, including the massive mobilization on May 13th, the largest in the city this decade.
Through this action, teachers aim to send a dual message: their unwavering support for students facing the crucial Selectividad exam, and their continued fight for their demands to the Ministry of Education.
Meanwhile, negotiations between the Ministry and unions are ongoing, with the strike not yet called off. Controversy persists over the regional department's decision to impose 100% minimum services for the PAU, a measure previously applied to second-year baccalaureate classes.
