Asphalting works on the CV-700, near Pego, have led to significant traffic jams and are hindering access to the town and the Monte Pego urbanization, with mandatory detours for residents.

Drivers attempting to access Pego from El Verger via the CV-700 road or exit through the same route must exercise patience. The asphalting of the section where workers have been operating in recent weeks, which includes the new roundabout for accessing Monte Pego, has reduced traffic to a single lane.
This situation has caused long queues and frustration among drivers since early morning. The usual scene on the road is of stationary vehicles moving slowly due to congestion.
For residents of Monte Pego, the situation is even more complex. As reported by the Local Police of Pego, the main access to the urbanization is currently closed due to the works. Therefore, the only way to enter or exit is via Bellavista or through the Balde ravine area.
These traffic inconveniences have generated significant discomfort among residents, who have expressed their dissatisfaction through social media. In Facebook groups, some users report traffic jams lasting up to half an hour due to the ongoing works.
