The Xàtiva Unida assembly unanimously ratified Amor Amorós as the candidate for mayor for the municipal elections in May 2027, thus repeating as the head of the list.

The current councilwoman, party spokesperson, and first deputy mayor in the coalition government, Amor Amorós, will once again lead Xàtiva Unida's municipalist project. The decision was unanimously ratified at the assembly held this Thursday.
During her speech, Amorós expressed her intention to run again as a candidate and highlighted Xàtiva Unida's role in the city's transformation over recent years. "When we govern, Xàtiva progresses. Next year, we will have the opportunity again to lead a left-wing government in the city. I believe Xàtiva needs a different kind of leadership: a more present mayor, who focuses on the city, listens, and accompanies the people who are the true protagonists of the transformation. It is time to consolidate this project and ensure its continuity. We want to make Xàtiva a city we can be proud of. And I am convinced that we can accelerate the pace of change if we achieve the mayoralty," she stated.

We are the alternative to break the cycle of traditional parties. We only need citizens to believe they can do it. That this turn can be broken and we can govern from municipalism; we have the experience and the desire.

The candidate reviewed the management of the Xàtiva Unida Municipal Group, highlighting progress in sustainability, equality, diversity, and culture, as well as initiatives in animal welfare, improvements to educational infrastructure, and the definitive push for the future regional day center. She also noted that important urban mobility projects, including two new bike lanes, will be implemented during the final year of the term.
Amorós expressed enthusiasm for the electoral challenge, confident in having "the best possible team." "Our curriculum to run in the next elections will be the work of these four years. We have achieved much with limited resources; imagine all that we could do if we won the elections. In the previous campaign, our goal was to be decisive in enabling a progressive government; this time, we must aim to lead it because we know there are other ways of governing, and what we want is to transform the city. Furthermore, we will be a guarantee of a strong response against the racism, homophobia, and sexism that are organizing. Against policies fueled by fear, we will build hope to create a future together, with others, and not against others."
Finally, Amorós thanked the militants for their trust and the collective's constant work, encouraging them to continue expanding the project and incorporating new individuals committed to the transformation of Xàtiva.
