The initiative aimed to showcase the mark left by this artistic movement on the urban and social evolution of Torrent, located in the L'Horta Sud region. The Modernist Route began at 7:00 PM at the Museu Comarcal de l’Horta Sud and covered various emblematic points of the urban center.
During the itinerary, attendees learned details about local architecture and the ways of life from the late 19th and early 20th centuries linked to modernism. The tour was guided by a researcher, who provided historical context and interpretive keys to better understand the period.
Additionally, the GTI Grup de Teatre incorporated small theatrical interventions that offered a more dynamic experience, bringing participants closer to characters and situations typical of that era.
“"The public's response confirms that Torrent's heritage generates great interest when presented in an accessible and experiential way. «Rutes del Temps» allows us to continue advancing in our goal of making culture a living and shared element."
The municipal official also noted that this proposal is consolidating as a cultural reference in the city, capable of attracting diverse audiences and fostering historical knowledge from an innovative perspective. The activity, offered free of charge, is part of the City Council's cultural program aimed at bringing local heritage closer to citizens and strengthening its value as a distinctive sign and driver of social participation in Torrent.
