Rescue in Alaquàs: Woman with reduced mobility evacuated from fire after police car crash

A National Police vehicle collided with a house, causing a fire that required the intervention of firefighters.

Firefighters rescued a woman with reduced mobility from her home in Alaquàs, l'Horta Sud, after a National Police car collided with the house, causing a fire on the ground floor.

The incident occurred last Saturday, when a police vehicle crashed into a dwelling on Sant Pasqual street. The collision generated a fire on the ground floor of the building, which served as a garage, according to the Provincial Firefighters Consortium of València.
The woman, who was on the first floor of the house at the time of the crash, had to be evacuated quickly. The smoke from the fire spread rapidly through the home, endangering her safety. Firefighters acted diligently, providing her with a rescue mask and temporarily moving her to the upper terrace before safely bringing her down to the street.
Regarding the crashed car, a hybrid model, its occupants did not need to be rescued. Consortium personnel removed the vehicle and guarded it during transport to prevent any risk of reignition. Four fire crews from the Torrent and Paterna stations, accompanied by a sergeant from Torrent and an official from the Consortium, were dispatched to the scene.
