The Civil Guard has arrested two men, aged 44 and 50 and of Spanish nationality, in Benetússer, accused of drug trafficking. The operation, which began following suspicions that a local resident was a major supplier of illicit substances to other drug traffickers in the l’Horta Sud region, culminated in the seizure of eight one-kilogram blocks of cocaine and 87,150 euros in cash.
For months, officers conducted an investigation that revealed the main suspect's significant mobility despite having no known professional activity. As a result of this investigation, an anticipated meeting between the suspect and drug traffickers in Benetússer led to the deployment of a surveillance operation.
At the location, the drivers of two vehicles, that of the main suspect and a van, were identified. The eight blocks of white substance, presumed to be cocaine, and the money, arranged in bundles of 10,000 euros, were seized from the vehicles.
Subsequently, a house search was carried out in Benetússer, where further evidence of illicit activity was found, including three mobile devices, three cars, and a motorcycle.
The investigation was conducted by the technical team of the Judicial Police of Alfafar. The proceedings have been handed over to the Civil and Instruction Section of the Court of Catarroja, number 5.
