These facilities temporarily replace the municipal recreational pool, which suffered significant damage due to the DANA. The City Council has announced that it will soon communicate the date for free public access, although the exact timing and conditions have not yet been specified.
The portable pools allow campus participants to engage in aquatic activities during the summer. Meanwhile, the repair of the recreational pool, whose machine room was completely affected by the flood, is being managed.
The council has detailed that the repair of the underground machine room exceeds one million euros. The administrative procedure, as explained by the mayor, Guillermo Luján, must follow the legal phases established for contracts of this magnitude, which can extend for several months.
Luján emphasized that the deadlines depend on compliance with the legal procedure for works of this amount, not on a direct municipal decision. In the meantime, the portable pools will serve as a provisional solution for the campus and, subsequently, for residents.
The Aldaia City Council will provide information in the coming days regarding the general opening of these facilities and their usage rules.
