Starting June 29th, Barrio del Cristo and Quart de Poblet will be connected by a new Metrobús line, 162C, fulfilling a City Council demand to the Generalitat Valenciana.

The new Metrobús line 162C will establish a direct connection between Barrio del Cristo and the Metrovalencia network, thereby integrating both urban centers and facilitating mobility for residents of the Mancomunidad. The journey will take approximately 12 minutes towards the Metrovalencia station and 10 minutes in the opposite direction.
The service will operate with 17 departures and 17 returns, spread across three time slots (morning, midday, and evening-night) to accommodate peak travel times. The first service will depart at 7:00 AM from Barrio del Cristo, and the last service will leave at 9:00 PM from Quart de Poblet station.
The bus will be electric, and stops will be equipped with Navilens codes to enhance information access, particularly for visually impaired individuals. Real-time information displays will also be installed on shelters to improve the user experience.
This implementation follows a formal request made by the Consistory to the Metropolitan Transport Authority of Valencia (ATMV) on March 21, 2024, seeking a service similar to the one in Xirivella, which would ensure effective access to the metropolitan network and connection with neighboring municipalities like Aldaia, at no additional cost.
Although the managing director of the ATMV confirmed in writing on May 28, 2024, that the shuttle service was included in the bus services operation contract for the next ten years, the service will not be operational until this date. Following several technical and political meetings, the Quart de Poblet City Council again demanded full compliance with the commitments made in March 2026.
