National Police Car Crashes into Alaquàs Home, Causing Fire

The incident occurred during a high-speed pursuit, leaving two officers with minor injuries and forcing the evacuation of the building.

A National Police vehicle crashed into the garage of a home in Alaquàs last Saturday, April 12, 2026, following a high-speed pursuit, causing a fire and the evacuation of the building.

The accident took place around 8:26 PM on San Pascual Street, when the police car lost control while chasing another fleeing vehicle, impacting the ground floor of the house.
As a result of the strong impact, the vehicle caught fire, and the flames quickly spread to the lower part of the dwelling, which was partially used as a garage. Smoke rapidly filled the entire building, reaching the first floor.
Several fire brigades were dispatched to the scene to rescue a woman with reduced mobility who was inside. Rescuers provided her with a rescue mask and moved her to the upper terrace, from where she was safely evacuated to the street.
The two officers in the hybrid car sustained minor injuries, including cuts and head lacerations, according to witnesses present at the scene. Firefighters also extinguished the blaze and removed the damaged vehicle, overseeing its transfer to prevent any potential reignition.
