The Manises City Council Plenary has unanimously approved the modification of the Edificant Plan for the construction of the new CEIP Vicente Nicolau Balaguer, a key project for the municipality.

This approval, which now awaits confirmation from the Conselleria, responds to the need to adjust the budget to current cost increases, a demand that the local government has firmly defended to improve educational facilities.

"This increase was essential to address the immediate needs of the educational center and ensure that the project is executed with all guarantees. From the City Council, we have always defended the urgency of this budget update, because we are talking about a priority action for our families and for the educational community of Manises."

Following this progress, the next administrative steps are already defined. Once the modification of the initial delegations has been approved in the municipal plenary, the project will be approved by the Local Government Board, which will allow the initiation of the bidding process for the execution of the works.
The new center will be built on a municipal plot next to the IES José Rodrigo Botet and will include Infant and Primary classrooms, a gymnasium, and a school canteen. Additionally, it will feature spaces designed under criteria of sustainability, energy efficiency, and acoustic and climatic comfort. All these details were explained to the school's management during the project presentation held today at the Manises City Council.

"The CEIP Enric Valor i Vives and the CEIP José García Planells are still awaiting the green light from the Conselleria of Education for the 300,000 euro increase that the city council requested to address outdated prices. The execution of those works was deserted due to lack of budget, and we cannot allow that to happen again, which is why we need an immediate response from the regional government."
