A fierce fire broke out in an abandoned field in Mislata, near the A-3, burning an abandoned tanker truck and generating a large plume of smoke visible for miles.

The fire, which started shortly before seven in the evening on Monday, caused a black smoke plume that could be seen from a great distance. The incident occurred in an abandoned field next to the A-3, in the municipality of Mislata, as confirmed by sources from the General Directorate of Traffic (DGT) and the 112 Emergency service.
The abandoned tanker truck was the starting point of the fire, which raised alarms due to its proximity to the highway and two gas stations. Although the fire was off the road, it caused temporary traffic jams on the entry to Valencia due to drivers' curiosity.
An emergency team quickly mobilized to the area. The Local Police of Mislata were the first to arrive and requested the intervention of the Provincial Fire Consortium of Valencia. Three fire brigades from Paterna and Torrent, along with a sector chief and a sergeant, worked to extinguish the flames.
The fire started at 6:47 PM and, in addition to the truck, affected other debris in the vacant lot. For half an hour, the bridge connecting Xirivella with the A-3 industrial park had to be closed. Planes taking off from Valencia Airport flew through the large smoke column. The fire is under control, although smoke continues to emanate.
