The detainees used the "snatch and run" method to steal gold necklaces, dragging the victims along the ground and causing serious injuries such as fractured ribs, collarbone, wrists, or shoulder. The perpetrators targeted particularly vulnerable women to commit the crimes.
The investigation began following several cases with a similar "modus operandi." Officers managed to identify the perpetrators and individuals who helped them sell the stolen jewelry. A significant portion of the stolen items has been recovered and returned to their rightful owners.
The detainees, who have prior police records, operated in Castellón and used an electric scooter to flee. The National Police have ordered their imprisonment.
