A National Police unit has saved the life of a man who suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest on a public street in Torrent on June 13.

The events took place around 12:00 PM, when officers from the Citizen Attention Group were carrying out prevention tasks on La Plana street. Upon noticing a crowd of people, the officers approached and found a man unconscious on the ground.
Given the severity of the victim's condition, the officers immediately began cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers. For ten minutes, they maintained chest compressions uninterruptedly to ensure blood flow until the arrival of the medical service.
Thanks to the collaboration between the officers and medical personnel, the patient managed to regain a pulse and spontaneous breathing. He was subsequently stabilized and transported by ambulance to a hospital to receive specialized care.
During the emergency, the police also provided assistance to a minor who was accompanying the man at the time of the incident. The officers worked to calm the young person, who was in a state of high anxiety due to the situation.
