A truck fire on the AP-7, heading towards Alicante, has led to significant traffic congestion, extending over seven kilometers on this major road. Although the vehicle has been moved to the shoulder and firefighters are already on site to extinguish the flames, the incident continues to impact traffic flow.
Around 2:00 PM, the traffic jam was estimated to be about five kilometers long. The heavy-duty vehicle is located near the roadway, specifically on exit lane 313, which leads to Massamagrell and Museros.
Despite the truck not directly obstructing traffic, the phenomenon known as the
gawker effect
is slowing down southbound traffic, contributing to the long queues that have formed on the highway.
