The mobilization, called by Movem l'Horta Nord, started at 10:00 AM from the roundabout between Almàssera and Bonrepòs i Mirambell, on the old Barcelona road. Dozens of people gathered with banners and slogans in defense of public education.
“"The situation is unsustainable in educational centers. Teachers are overwhelmed by the workload and lack of resources. We are not going on an indefinite strike out of whim or for money; we are stopping because we can't take it anymore."
The teacher criticized the abusive ratios, with Baccalaureate classrooms exceeding 35 students, and the deterioration of infrastructure, with leaks affecting both gyms and classrooms. She also denounced the lack of substitutions when a teacher is absent and accused the Ministry of not having opened real negotiations with the sector.
The march will pass through several neighborhoods and emblematic enclaves of the region, including Tavernes Blanques, Sant Miquel dels Reis, Salesians, Pla de la Saïdia, and Pont de Fusta, gathering more participants as it advances towards the center of the Valencian capital. The mobilization is expected to conclude around 11:30 AM in Plaça Sant Agustí, where various columns from other parts of the territory will converge.
