The Godella City Council has announced the results of the 2026 Participatory Budgets, allocating €40,000 to improvements decided by residents.

The Godella City Council has announced the winning proposals from Phase 3 of the 2026 Participatory Budgets, a process that allowed citizens to decide how to invest €40,000 in municipal improvements. The selected projects include the creation of a shaded area in the park at the Buganvillas-Sauces zone (with an estimated budget of €13,435.88), the installation of a children's playground in the same area (valued at €14,876.9), and the purchase of instruments for the Capitolio Theater (with an estimated cost of €12,260).
The total sum for the three proposals amounts to €40,572.83. Although this slightly exceeds the initial €40,000 budget, the council will cover the difference to ensure the full implementation of the citizens' choices.

"Participatory Budgets are a fundamental tool for listening to citizens and responding to their needs and concerns. We are very satisfied with the involvement shown in this edition and, therefore, we will bring the chosen proposals to life."

Jose María Musoles · Mayor of Godella
In this final phase of the process, residents over 18 years old registered in Godella participated, voting for up to two proposals online and secretly through the Citizen Participation Portal. With this initiative, the Godella City Council reaffirms its commitment to citizen participation, allowing residents to actively shape decisions on municipal investments.
