The third edition of the Foios Sports Gala will be held next Saturday, July 4th, at 8 PM in the Casa de los Artilleros. The event, which had the footballer Ferran Torres as a precedent in its first edition, aims to consolidate itself as a benchmark event for local sports.
The Councilor for Sports and Citizen Participation, Emma García, highlighted that "our town is a benchmark for many reasons, and one of them is sporting diversity." García thanked the work of sports schools and clubs, as well as the effort of all athletes, including those recognized for sporting merits and residents who are starting in a discipline.
In previous editions, the gala has honored prominent figures such as footballer Ferran Torres, women's football pioneer Tere Saurí, European champion in futsal for the hearing impaired Vicente Pascual, and Spanish apnea champion Gemma Vila.
The ceremony, hosted by magician and comedian Rubén Aparisi, will include the presentation of trophies for the fronton, tennis, and paddle competitions held during the Sports Week. Additionally, various local schools and clubs, such as Escola Tenis, Club Arts Marcials Sol Naciente Foios, and Foios Atlètic Club Futbol, will also present their own awards.
The Foios Sports Week 2026, extending until Sunday, July 5th, offers a wide range of activities including orchard walks, Nordic walking, apnea, diving, rally, colpbol and water polo matches, dance and maintenance gymnastics exhibitions, and Zumba and Pilates classes.
