The Valencian Government, through the city councils of Benidorm, Calpe, Altea, Villajoyosa, and Alfàs del Pi, has supported the start of the Costa Blanca Cup Futsal 2026, held at the Benidorm Palace.

The Costa Blanca Cup Futsal 2026, organized by Tour-Sport Promociones Deportivas, has officially opened its doors with an inaugural ceremony held at the Benidorm Palace. This tournament, now in its 21st edition, is notable for its international scope, fostering cultural exchange through sport.
One of the most emotional moments of the gala was a minute of silence in memory of the victims of the recent earthquakes in Venezuela, a country participating in the championship with its futsal team. The Venezuelan delegation received applause from the entire audience.
This year, the competition will feature a total of 113 teams, with 57 being foreign and 56 Spanish, hailing from nine countries: France, England, Ireland, Spain, Canada, Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela, and Australia. A week later, 206 teams are expected to compete in the football tournament.
The ceremony included the traditional parade of participating teams, represented by their captains, as well as various artistic performances, such as those by the group Ballet Boogie Block and the magician David Climent. The official tournament jersey was also unveiled, and there was a performance by Carmina Burana.
The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, delivered the institutional welcome, emphasizing the values of sport and the tournament's global significance. He thanked all participating teams and made a special mention of the participants from Venezuela, stating that Benidorm is their home.
The tournament, scheduled from July 2nd to July 5th, is supported by the city councils of Benidorm, La Vila Joiosa, Altea, L’Alfàs del Pi, and Calpe, along with sponsors such as Aqualandia, Terra Mítica, Kappa, Futbol Factory, and Sala Marina.
