The council is awaiting the relevant report and technical certificate from the gardening service, which will confirm the condition of the affected specimens. According to initial assessments, the trees may have been damaged by a fungus that has deteriorated their state, potentially necessitating their felling.
The City Council explained that, although there is currently no imminent risk of falling, the decision was made to cordon off the area as a precaution until the final technical assessment is available and the corresponding actions are completed.
While these works are carried out, the council has asked residents to respect the established safety perimeter at all times and avoid accessing the cordoned-off area.
