World AI Leaders to Meet in Valencia for VSCF 2026

Valencia will host the ValgrAI Scientific Council Forum (VSCF 2026) on July 2nd and 3rd, 2026, a key event in Artificial Intelligence organized by ValgrAI at the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV).

The forum, taking place at the UPV's Paraninfo on the first day and continuing at ETSINF on the second, will feature keynotes from prominent figures such as Virginia Dignum (Umeå University), Hiroaki Kitano (Sony Group Corporation), and José Mª Azorín (Universidad Miguel Hernández). The event is free to attend upon registration and will also be streamed live.
VSCF has established itself as a crucial space for connecting research, business, and society, attracting international experts, researchers, tech professionals, and students. The 2026 edition places the Valencian Community on the global AI map with a high-level program focused on scientific knowledge, practical applications, and strategic debate.
Among the main attractions are the keynote speeches. Virginia Dignum will discuss AI ethics and responsible technological futures; José María Azorín will present advances in neurotechnology and brain-machine interfaces for rehabilitation; and Hiroaki Kitano will offer insights into how AI is transforming global scientific research.
The program will also include presentations by researchers linked to ValgrAI and contributions from leading companies such as S2 Grupo, Pangeanic, Nunsys, Veolia, and Idrica, showcasing real-world AI applications in industry, smart cities, and water management. Additionally, a panel discussion with members of the ValgrAI Scientific Council, including Ramón López de Mantaras and Tom Diettericht, will address key issues regarding the development and impact of AI models.
The forum is supported by entities including Pangeanic, Veolia, Idrica, S2 Grupo, Balearia, Valencia Innovation Capital, Sh Valencia Palace, and PENTEC. VSCF 2026 aims to foster synergies between academia, industry, and public administration, making it an essential event for AI specialists and enthusiasts alike.
