Every April 25th, the Valencian capital becomes a meeting point for thousands of people who wish to remember the defeat in the Battle of Almansa in 1707, an event that led to the loss of the Furs (local laws) and the sovereignty of the Kingdom of València.
The festive and commemorative day seeks to keep historical memory alive and defend Valencian identity. Various entities and social groups organize events and demonstrations to highlight the importance of this date.
Citizen participation in these events demonstrates the commitment of Valencian society to its culture and traditions, as well as the desire to continue advancing in the construction of a future based on respect and diversity.
