These calls, made public on April 16, primarily aim to alleviate the deterioration of basic water supply, sanitation, and purification infrastructures. Additionally, they seek to enhance the planning and control of municipal waste services, as reported by the provincial corporation.
The first line of aid, with a total allocation of 1.5 million euros, will be dedicated to financing actions related to the integrated water cycle during the 2026 fiscal year. These subsidies will be granted under a competitive bidding regime, and the maximum amount per applicant entity will be 30,000 euros, including VAT. Municipalities in the province of Valencia, minor local entities, and commonwealths that meet the requirements of the Provincial Council's General Ordinance on Subsidies may benefit.
The second call, with 500,000 euros for the 2026 fiscal year, focuses on the planning and control of municipal waste services. This line will provide financial support for the drafting, review, and updating of Local Waste Management Plans, as well as technical assistance for monitoring the waste collection service. It includes two modalities: modality A, for the preparation and review of plans (between 2,000 and 6,000 euros), and modality B, for technical assistance in monitoring collection (up to 15,000 euros).
The deadline for submitting applications for both lines will be 20 working days, counted from the day following their publication in the BOP. The payment of subsidies will be made with an advance of 85% after the concession, and the remaining 15% will be paid upon justification of expenses.
With these aids, along with those published on April 1 for the implementation of Local Waste Management Plans (1,617,340 euros) and for consortia and the EMTRE (750,000 euros), the Water, Waste, and Public Companies service of the Provincial Council meets the objective of having all its subsidy lines operational in the first four months of the year. In total, this service has allocated 11,187,340 euros in the current legislature for the improvement of municipal water and waste services, strengthening planning, technical assistance, and the sustainability of these essential public services for the territory.
