35 boats compete in the Valencia City Trophy - Dunas Capital Cup

The regatta brings together sailboats from Valencia, Oliva, and Torrevieja in a scoring event for the Spanish Championship.

The Real Club Náutico de Valencia hosts this weekend, June 6th and 7th, the Valencia City Trophy - Dunas Capital Cup, a prominent cruising sailing event with 35 boats.

The Real Club Náutico de Valencia is preparing to host this weekend, June 6th and 7th, one of the most significant events on the regional cruising sailing calendar with the celebration of the Valencia City Trophy – Dunas Capital Cup. The competition will gather a notable representation of the local fleet in the waters of the Gulf of Valencia, although boats from Oliva and Torrevieja will also be present.
The competition will feature the participation of 35 boats from Valencia, Oliva, and Torrevieja, who will face two demanding days of racing. The Valencian event counts towards the ORC Mediterranean Zone Cruiser Championship, serving as a general rehearsal for the SM La Reina Trophy.
On Saturday, a coastal course of approximately 17 miles will be completed towards the waters of El Saler, with a turning mark, before returning to the finish line off the entrance of the Real Club Náutico. On Sunday, two windward-leeward races have been scheduled.
Among the favorites are the M10 Zas Sailing (Swan 45) in ORC 1. In ORC 2, Majoche, Oui, Crosswind, or Genio Cuatro are contenders for the top positions. Several teams such as Neurored, Esclop, Toortoga, Lassal, Hybrid, Radazul, Iberolimp Alhambra II, or Reti have chances in their respective categories.
