The city of Valencia will celebrate International Jazz Day on April 30, 2026 with an open and free event bringing live music to the Plaza del Rosario in the Canyamelar neighborhood.

The initiative aims to bring jazz closer to all audiences, taking it out of traditional venues and directly into the streets. The Plaza del Rosario will transform into an urban stage where various groups will provide the soundtrack for a day designed to make jazz accessible to everyone.
This celebration is part of the programming promoted by Valencia Music City, within its strategy to highlight the local music ecosystem. The goal is to foster a city where music naturally coexists with daily life.
This edition's lineup features several groups that reflect the diversity of jazz made in Valencia, from family-friendly proposals to large-format projects with extensive experience. Performances will take place from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM.
The schedule includes Happy Band at 6:00 PM, followed by Nave Latin Ensemble at 6:30 PM. At 7:00 PM, Kaos Big Band will perform, and finally, at 7:30 PM, the Sedajazz Latin Big Band.
The day will progress continuously with chained performances, allowing attendees to enjoy different styles and approaches within contemporary jazz. From the approachable nature of Happy Band to the instrumental power of Kaos Big Band, including the generational blend of Nave Latin Ensemble and the extensive career of Sedajazz Latin Big Band, the proposal seeks to showcase the genre's breadth.
Beyond the concert itself, the initiative reinforces the idea of a city that integrates music into its public space, fostering encounters between artists and citizens in everyday environments. This celebration turns a neighborhood square into a point of cultural and social connection throughout the afternoon.
