Valencia Basket and Brancou Badio have reached an agreement to improve and extend his contract, which will now run until 2029. The Senegalese guard joined the 'taronja' club in the summer of 2024, after paying his buyout clause to Manresa. He had initially signed a contract until 2027, meaning he still had one season remaining on his previous deal.
Badio has become a key player in coach Pedro Martínez's rotation, with whom he previously worked during his time at Manresa. In the ACB League, the guard averages nine points, two rebounds, and two assists in eighteen minutes of play. In the EuroLeague, his offensive contribution increases to eleven points per game, accompanied by two rebounds and two assists in nineteen minutes.
This renewal for Badio is the fourth made by Valencia Basket in recent weeks, following those of Jaime Pradilla, Nate Reuvers, and Omari Moore. With this new agreement, the Senegalese player now holds the longest-running contract among the current squad. Additionally, the 'taronja' club has also recently extended the contracts of Pedro Martínez and sports director Luis Arbalejo.
