The city of Valencia was the setting for an intense rowing weekend with the celebration of the Suma Fixed Bench Mediterranean Llaüt Regional Championship, which gathered over 350 athletes.

The event, organized by the Rowing Federation of the Valencian Community and sponsored by Suma Gestión Tributaria, took place at the facilities of the Real Club Náutico Valencia. This competition serves as a prelude to the Spanish Championship of the same modality, which will also be held at the same venue between May 22 and 24.
Saturday's session was dedicated to the qualifying rounds and repechages, which determined the finalists for Sunday's races. The course varied depending on the age group: cadets, veterans, and SCM boats (crews formed by breast cancer survivors) completed 700 meters and one turn, while junior and absolute categories covered 1,400 meters and three turns.
A total of six clubs achieved victory. The Real Club Regatas Alicante secured two gold medals in the female cadet and SCM events. A boat from the Real Club Náutico Denia participated in the male junior heat. In the veteran categories, victories were shared among the Club de Remo Ciudad de Valencia, Club Náutico Jávea, and Club Rem Marina Denia.
The absolute male final was dominated by the hosts, Real Club Náutico Valencia, who stopped the clock at 5 minutes and 59 seconds. The Sección Deportiva Universitat d'Alacant and Club Náutico Santa Pola finished second and third, respectively. The university team also won the absolute female regional championship, completing the final in 6 minutes and 46 seconds, ahead of Real Club Regatas Alicante and Club Deportivo de Mar Clot de L'Illot el Campello.
