The judge investigating the management of the DANA in Valencia has agreed to summon five new witnesses to testify, including the Director General of Victim Assistance of the Generalitat at the time of the tragedy.

The magistrate made this decision after reviewing the documentation sent by the Ministry of Emergencies. The order, notified this Friday to the parties involved in Preliminary Proceedings 692/24, indicates the testimony of five individuals.
Among the new witnesses called is Francisco Javier Soler, who held the position of Director General of Victim Assistance of the Generalitat when the flood that caused the deaths of 230 people occurred.
Furthermore, an order for proceedings has been notified in which the judicial administrator has set three days next September to receive testimony from another 16 witnesses, within the framework of different cases related to deceased and injured individuals.
