The University of Valencia will soon ratify the appointment of its new manager, an individual with extensive experience in public administration and within the academic institution itself.

The Social Council of the University of Valencia is scheduled to ratify the name of the institution's new manager next Monday. This appointment follows the vacancy of the position last Tuesday, April 14, when the resignation of the previous head was published in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat.
The person designated as the new manager has served as manager of the Étnor Foundation for two and a half years. Furthermore, they possess significant experience in public administration and at the University of Valencia itself, where they previously acted as a student delegate during the tenure of a former rector.
For eight years, the new manager held various positions within the Generalitat during the period known as the Consell del Botànic. Between 2021 and 2023, they served as undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance and Economic Model. They also began their career as an advisor in the Autonomous Secretariat for Transparency and later became chief of staff in the same ministry.
This appointment occurs during the first official week of the new rector of the University of Valencia, following elections that required two rounds. The resignation of the previous manager expedited the transition between teams.
In addition to this change, a new chief of staff for the rector has been appointed. This individual belongs to the Technical Staff for Management, Administration, and Services (PTGAS) and has worked in the Student Information and Dynamization Service (SEDI), as well as in other areas related to cultural management at the University, specifically at La Nau.
