This festivity, declared a Festival of Autonomic Tourist Interest, marks a turning point in the solemnity of Holy Week, giving way to Easter joy. The broadcast will begin at 10 AM and will feature commentary by Chus Lacort, joined by Jesús Peris, a member of the Brotherhoods of Torrent's Holy Week, and Cristina Peris, who was Queen of the Encounter in 2018.
The central act, which starts in the Plaça Major, is the emotional embrace between the images of the Resurrected Christ and the Virgin Mary, a moment symbolizing the joy of Easter. One of the most anticipated and symbolic moments is the opening of the giant Artichoke, from which thousands of alleluias fall, while the confreres remove the capirote that has covered their faces during the processions.
The figure of the Queen of the Encounter, embodying the vicereine Germana de Foix with an impressive dress and cape, is another highlight. This year, this representation falls to Inmaculada Puchades Vallejo, accompanied by her ladies-in-waiting Marta Furió and Alexa Company.
Subsequently, at 11 AM, À Punt's Sunday programming will continue with the broadcast of the Resurrection Mass, which will be celebrated from the Parish of the Assumption of Torrent.
