The Sedaví Town Council has initiated the comprehensive reconstruction of its municipal parking garage, a project valued at 1,538,381.39 euros and fully funded by the Government of Spain, to repair damages caused by the DANA storm.

This undertaking, which can be followed live via a new municipal website, involves the structural rehabilitation of damaged slabs and pillars, as well as the complete renovation of facilities. New features include a new electrical system, ventilation adapted to current regulations, fire extinguishing equipment, and, for the first time, the incorporation of an accessible elevator.
The intervention at the municipal parking garage is part of a set of five ongoing actions in Sedaví, which also include the remodeling of the fairground, the reconstruction of children's play areas, the renovation of the town hall, and improvements to road infrastructure and urban furniture.
The parking garage, with capacity for hundreds of vehicles, is crucial for residents' mobility, especially in an area with limited surface parking. Its inoperability since the heavy rainfall event has caused significant difficulties, making its reopening one of the main citizen demands.
The project incorporates criteria for structural safety, energy efficiency, and universal accessibility, aiming to improve performance compared to its pre-catastrophe state and enhance resilience against future adverse weather events. This line of action is part of the municipal program “Tots som Sedaví” (We are all Sedaví).
Furthermore, the Town Council has informed users with spaces in the municipal garage on Valencia Street (with access via Salvador Giner Street) that they must report any vehicle changes. Starting April 9, they will need to submit an application indicating the new license plate and circulation permit to expedite preparations for the facility's upcoming reopening.
