Valencia adds a new gastronomic space with the opening of La Barra d’Anyora, the project by Familia Tonyina in Mercader Cabanyal, expanding the Anyora universe with a dual proposal for enjoying aperitifs and tapas.

La Barra d’Anyora emerges as a natural evolution of its original project, offering a place where aperitifs, tapas, and traditional food are experienced in two ways. On one hand, the agile and accessible bar, with tapas starting from €3.80, designed for a quick stop. On the other, the restaurant, where the experience is extended with traditional dishes and more elaborate cuisine, intended for a longer stay.
The concept is based on a clear idea: to pay homage to the bar culture that defines Valencia, highlighting a little-told story. Many of the dishes that are now part of popular Valencian cuisine originated from internal migration, especially from Castilla-La Mancha. This influence, mixed with Valencian seafood-based cuisine, has given rise to a unique gastronomic identity now recognized in the city's bars.
This duality is directly reflected in the menu. At the bar, highlights include grilled pork snout, pig's ear with mojo verde, zarajos, or suspiros, alongside classic aperitifs like marinera or fried coca with titaina. In the restaurant, the offering expands with dishes combining tradition and product: freshly made tortillas, eggs with seafood preparations, Cabanyal cuttlefish, or combined dishes such as rabbit shoulder, Manchegan gazpachos, or tuna chops with pisto.
All of this is complemented by a selection of wines that reinforces this link between territories and a daily menu that integrates tapas, main courses, and desserts into a complete experience. With this opening, Familia Tonyina continues to consolidate its presence in Valencia with projects that draw from tradition to reinterpret gastronomic culture from a contemporary, close, and recognizable approach.
